40 Days of Soup: Day 9-Chicken and Rice with Veggies


Mid-morning: into the crock pot, throw:

2 cups of shredded baked chicken (frozen from when I baked the boneless, skinless chicken breast with lemon pepper seasoning)

water to fill the crock pot 1/2 full (or 1/2 empty, if you are pessimistic)

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 soup can of milk

1 lb bag frozen mixed veggies

1 T parsley flakes

1 T lemon juice

1 T garlic

1 cup dry rice

freshly ground pepper

3 bay leaves

3 T powdered chicken bouillon

Cover tightly and leave on high until ready to leave for the basketball game (or for 4 hours) then turn on low so it is ready for supper (or dinner, if you are from up north).
