40 Days of Soup: Day 2-Lentil and Ajvar

No chance to go to the store and it is time to make soup. What’s in the cabinet? Still have pounds of lentils left over from the cafe, so that’s a go.

1 1/2 cups dried lentils

water to 3/4 fill

2 T butter

4 slices of cooked bacon

3 T dry tomato flavored chicken bouillon

1 T garlic, minced

3 bay leaves

1/2 cup or more hot ajvar

(I think that’s all I used.)

Throw all into a crock pot in the morning, cook and enjoy for supper. Easy!
