Cookbook Update #11: Taste of Clarkesville

Although I didn’t have the cookbook in hand to sell, the Taste of Clarkesville on Saturday, September 24th was a great success. It was exciting to see so much “foot traffic” in downtown.  I surprised myself by getting to the square by 9:15 (the Taste started at 11:00) even after getting change at the bank.  Then I realized I had forgotten my cell phone.  All is good, I was able to collect more “parts” for my booth.  My space needed some height and I loaded up a three-piece shelving unit, grabbed a box of table decor (which I put in each of the spaces on the shelves), large teapot decor from my home front entrance and another tablecloth and managed to create a background for my table.  I had printed out two Katie Rivers photos to complete the look.  I set out a demo tea tasting and gave out sample pages of the cookbook and business cards with the cover on the front side.  I did pre-sell one book.

My kickstarter project is now at 26% funded!  I’m right on track with amount raised and amount of days gone. Only 21 days to go.

If you know anyone who might want to be a backer on the cookbook please send them to A Dollop and A Pinch page.

After cleaning up the booth, Melea and I hung around town to go to Diary of Anne Frank at Habersham Community Theater and it was definitely a grand ending to a marvelous day.
