The first Titanic Dinner went well, except less than half survived!
One of the saddest things….well, not as sad as passengers not surviving ….. was the loss of the mushroom sauce!!! As I was putting the container away in the refrigerator, it slipped out of my hands and…..well, a picture is worth a thousand words:
It took forever and lots of ingredients to make this sauce. Now I’ll have to make it again.
I hope to post the recipe for this delicious sauce. You cook the mushrooms and onions with port, wine and broth but strain them out and use the juice with butter to make the sauce to put around the plate. It really tastes best on the beef medallions and braised savoy cabbage instead of the floor and cabinets!
